On the eve of one of the most hyped elections I have ever encountered, the audacity of Obama supporters continues to amaze me. Having broken every record there is in terms of campaign funding, it seems as though one could assume that the Obama campaign would not need to resort to tactics such as covering local small businesses and cars with stickers or filling every patch or grass (private property or not) with Obama signs.
I work at a small restaurant located on a corner property of a decently busy road. Last night, just after dark mind you, a group of three middle-aged women showed up. I would not have even noticed them, except that they didn’t buy anything. They simply came in, one at a time, and used the bathroom. It seemed odd. Then, it got even weirder when they were running around the front of the building. It was like 8 year old boys playing army, they were scurrying back and forth, heads down.
I went out to check out what was going on, only to see them driving away, and the building covered in Obama stickers. There were signs and stickers on the front and side of the building. In the patch of grass near the road, about twenty Obama road signs, all sticking out of the grass in a line. They even managed to put signs in the bushes that sit in front of the parked cars.
Of course we threw all of the signs and stickers away, but I was in awe at the downright disregard of these Obama campaigners. The owner of the restaurant deliberately put neither McCain nor Obama signs around or on the property, with hopes of remaining neutral. That way, no customers or potential customers would be swayed or slighted. This seems to make sense to most people of either party, but instead of asking permission, these women simply took it upon themselves to use the property as advertising space.
Should something be done? I don’t know, I pondered calling the police, but I realized that this probably happen all over town. Writing a letter won’t help, since tomorrow we’ll know who becomes president. All I can hope is that this audacious and bold move isn’t representative of America if Obama wins.
On a final, totally unrelated note, I predict that the economy will improve dramatically after the election, because the media will stop bashing it into the ground. Regardless of who wins, it will be time to once again, see light on the horizon for the economy, and suddenly, everything will be ok.
See my article about liberal media helping the economy along into a recession for more. But mark my words, as soon as the media lets up on the economy, investor confidence will return, and the economy will be back in full gear.

“Change we can believe in”, the campaign slogan I heard far too many times. Now they say “Thank You, Change can happen.” I say we live in a democracy, a government of the people. If people have had such a big problem with the past eight years what have they done about it?Absolutely nothing. Now they’ve chosen a leader who promises to give us change. But at who’s cost? Let those who want change pay first. Audacious, lazy, naive Obama fans.

I was and am a huge supporter of Obama but I would never have done what those women did. That is rude and borders on vandalism in my mind. No matter who you support, it is not your right to force your opinion on anyone.

I can completely agree with your “unrelated note” about the economy…
The media can be a love/hate relationship. While as viewers we are eager to receive news we eventually hate them when they can actually alter views and the reality of a situation or even a country.
Media really needs credibility regulation versus censorships, etc. They need to go through some sort of guidelines of integrity and even how many annoying times they can beat one news story to death, LOL! just my 2 Cents
I enjoyed reading your post on your experience.

Funny how much Obama spoke about change but never mentioned any particulars about the changes.
