Well, on Tuesday, I totally forgot about my Pepsi delivery. When you order on Thursday, and they deliver on Tuesday, normally it’d be fine. Except now, since we are closed this whole week (the pool is closed), I was supposed to drive down and just let the order in and leave. Yea, the driver wasn’t very happy. He said he’d return tomorrow.
Which leads me to my point. Its tough to stay organized. I have never relied so heavily on a filing cabnet in my life. If someone asks me about anything I have ordered, I can just look in their folder in the drawer. Works well, except now I need to organize our inventory and sales.
We need a register. I felt like we did a bazillion sales on Sunday, but somehow at the end of the day, we had made pretty much no money. Let me tell you, when you bust your ass, and then look to find your reward, and its not there, its pretty not awesome at all. In fact, it made me really annoyed. Then I thought about it, and realized, it is very possible that we are giving the wrong change. Although everything is in quarters, if we are accidently giving out an extra dollar or something each time, that would definitly goof everything up.
So I went register shopping. They are expensive. At least if you want one with any metal parts on it. You can get a plastic one, which really is basically the barbie register without the pink, for cheap. But if you want even a low model standard one with a metal casing and five bill drawer, its big bucks. I think I am ordering one off of newegg, because its slightly cheaper then the distributor here. Just more bills piling up.
We open for the rest of the summer on Saturday. I hope we start making money.
